Janice is a licensed professional counselor and assists completing psychological medical clearance evaluations for Carewright Clinical Services.
Janice received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Texas at Dallas and went on to earn her master’s degree at Amberton University in Professional Counseling. Janice began her career working as a therapist and court liaison within the Rockwall County correctional setting which included individual and group therapy, substance abuse classes, risk assessments, and coordination of services upon inmate release. Additionally, she served as a program therapist for an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) addressing substance abuse and co-occurring mental illnesses. Janice has also worked with children and adolescents within the foster care system by providing in-home behavioral therapy to foster children, as well as family counseling to promote stabilization within the home.
Janice’s areas of interest include substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues, mood disorders, relationship issues, and chronic pain. She also has a passion for helping individuals gain the knowledge and skills needed to cope with everyday life stressors and empower them to lead their most authentic lives.
