Dr. Charway is a licensed psychologist (LP), a licensed specialist in school psychology (LSSP), and the vice president/training director of Carewright Clinical Services. Additionally, she is an adjunct professor at Texas Christian University.
Dr. Charway completed her undergraduate studies at Howard University in Washington D.C. and earned a dual Ph.D. in School and Counseling Psychology from the University at Buffalo. At the University at Buffalo, Dr. Charway was trained in psychoeducational and psychodiagnostics assessments, functional behavior assessments, behavior intervention plans, consultations, individual counseling, and group counseling.
Dr. Charway completed her APA-accredited internship at the Fort Worth Independent School District, where she was trained in school-based assessments, individual education plans, school-based intervention plans, and school consultation. She also completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Fort Worth Independent School District, where she received specialized training under a neuropsychologist.
Dr. Charway provides an array of psychological services, including consultation with schools and organizations, supervision with interns and postdoctoral fellows, psychological evaluations, and group and individual counseling for children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. She also specializes in conducting court-ordered psychological, medical clearance, and employment/security clearance evaluations. Dr. Charway’s areas of interest/specialty include learning, developmental, neurocognitive, stress and trauma-related, mood, psychotic, anxiety, and personality disorders.
