Dr. Castillo is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Texas, Alabama, New Mexico, and Hawaii, and is PSYPACT credentialed to practice in various additional states.
Dr. Castillo received her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Forensic Psychology from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California. She completed her APA-accredited internship at the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
Following Dr. Castillo’s internship, she continued to work in the Federal Bureau of Prisons with high security inmates for a few years. She also has several years of experience conducting psychological evaluations and providing therapy across all age groups in community counseling centers, school districts, private practices, a forensic state hospital, an acute psychiatric facility, and federal prisons.
Dr. Castillo’s area of interest/specialty is assessments. She has conducted numerous psychological evaluations, to include competency, pre-surgical, Veteran disability exams, gestational surrogacy, egg donor, sperm donor, fitness for duty, police and public safety, and cognitive and intellectual functioning evaluations.
